In this episode, we are off to the races with local race horse owner Robert Low. We took an inside look into his racing entity and got a close up look at Magnum Moon, heavy contender for the Kentucky Derby. We also learned the basics of horse racing and what it is like to have a horse run on such a vibrant stage. The Kentucky Derby will be Saturday, May 5th at 5:30 (CST). Go Magnum Moon!
We also caught up with the in-laws about their time raising and racing thoroughbred racehorses. JoAnne Hopkins, Scott Hopkins, Mike Hopkins, and Linda Shuler shared what a family event it was to take their horses to the track to race.

The Bass Pro Tournament of Champions, once again, has brought a tremendous event to Southwest Missouri. The number one attended high school tournament in the country had as high a caliber competition as it ever has and delivered on three nights of excellent contests. Joining us on the show to recap the tournament were the directors, Jeff Starkweather and Marty Marsh. They put a lot of work into this event and we thank them for their efforts! 56 players from this tournament have gone on to play in the NBA over the years, and this year there were several Division I hopefuls and every game was thrilling. Listen as Marty and Jeff talk about how the teams are selected and what it takes to make sure this tournament is the best in the country.
